Visual Team – Photography + Video
Applause Africa staff photographers are responsible for the conception, creation, and editing of photographic and video content for all digital platforms and print media. This team works closely with the online editorial staff to ensure the capturing and showcasing the African Diaspora in our best light, with captivating and powerful visual art. Join this team.
Leadership Team – Operations
Works with CEO and Leadership Team to plan and direct all aspects of Applause Africa and African Diaspora Award operations, objectives and initiatives. This role focuses on short- and long-term operational and financial goals and directs the development of the organization to ensure future growth. The Operations lead will be passionate about the Continent and savvy in the boardroom. This person is uber creative in crafting solutions and compassionate but flexible in managing team members. Social Media Team
This team is comprised of highly motivated creatives with a passion for stories from the African Continent and Diaspora. Works closely with the Social Media Coordinator and Applause Editors to further brand awareness, increase inbound traffic, and cultivate relationships with our audiences on all major platforms. You have a vision for the Continent that you wish to see writers and contributors create. Your writing is impeccable and you read voraciously. The Senior Editor works closely with the Editorial Board to develop and manage story concepts, while supporting Staff Writers in developing their craft. This is me.

Applause Africa opens submissions from contributors who are leaders in and knowledgeable about issues on Africa and/or her Diaspora. We are particularly interested in how the present generation is marching the Continent forward through entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation in any industry–from arts to tech. Applause Africa requests that contributed articles remain exclusive to our site for 72 hours, after which time they may be re-published in part on other sites, with a link back to the original article on Applause Africa. Professional photographers should send relevant photos (very recent events or photojournalism) through a shared dropbox folder along with a note to email@example.com. Turnaround time is typically a few days for time-sensitive coverage and one week for photojournalism.
