Applause Africa Re-Launches with the #whyiloveafrica Campaign
Applause Africa is turning a new page. Between now and March 13, share your favorite photos, quotes, people and places to express your love for the Continent.
Applause Africa is turning a new page. We are rebuilding and rebirthing and we want you to join us in this new journey. Please accept our sincere gratitude for your support and readership over the last 12 years!
Africans in the Diaspora are spread out across all livable continents. In North America, there are 39 million from the African Diaspora; 113 million in Latin America; 13.6 million in the Caribbean; and 3.5 million in Europe, as the World Bank estimates. As Africans in the Diaspora, we bring a distinct perspective to the discourse on Africa because we have experienced both worlds and can serve as a bridge in fostering greater balance between their home country and their adopted country as well as uniquely empowering their home country within the global economic sphere.
As our team continues to celebrate #whyiloveafrica we’re excited to connect with you, our readers. We have been working tirelessly to bring you new stories, important stories, that look to the Future of our favorite Continent, and celebrate, empower and connect us in the Diaspora.
For us at Applause, we do this work because we love you, our readers, and because we love that precious Continent from which we all hail. It is our commitment to bring to you the stories that matter to you and the stories that you need to hear, from the perspectives that are closest to home. Join us as we show the world how we Innovate, Express our Culture and Live for the future.
Most importantly tell us what matters to you, by joining the conversation with #whyiloveafrica. Between now and March 13, share your favorite photos, quotes, people and places to express your love for the Continent. Tweet us and tag us @applauseafrica with your contributions, and enter for a chance to win a dinner with two of our favorite Innovators, as well as two VIP tickets to our annual African Diaspora Awards.
Together, we can succeed in rebuilding our Continent through a refreshed and rebranded narrative.
