New York City, NY – March 28, 2014 – On April 19th, 2014, Beau Monde Society will be presenting its second installation of Fashion Envie during Earth Week in New York City at Denise Bibro Fine Art Platform Space located at 529 West 20th Street from 7:00PM – 8:30PM. This year’s eco-collective theme is Bohemian Rhapsody.
Fashion Envie – Fashion, Environment, and Life is the brainchild of Beau Monde Society’s founder, Jennifer Nnamani. Beau Monde Society firmly believes in social responsibility, personal well-being, and creating an “out-of-the-box” style that will foster sustainable inspiration. Fashion Envie presents a F.U.N (Fashion Understanding Nature) perspective of fusing eco-friendly fashion and art.
This imaginative celebratory environment is for the unconventional and socially conscious to imagine a world free of waste—supportive of local artisans.
The exciting ecoventure will feature New York City based designers Silly Simone and JWHITE Original, returning for her second year accompanied by Katra Awad jewelry designs showcasing their Spring/Summer 2014 collections. Art exhibitions entitled Flight Plan featuring Henry Bermudez and Michelle Marcuse in the Platform Space, and Process, in the Main Gallery, featuring 10 artists, including sculptor Courtney Puckett whose work is comprised of reclaimed items such as fabric and wood. Guests will be serenaded by boho inspired tunes and event photography provided by REM Media Productions. The Greenery will include light hors d’oeuvres created by Dining With Grace. Fashion Envie is sponsored by eco-friendly brands; Vita Coco Coconut Water, PRITI NYC, and One With Nature. BMS partnered up with Wecyclers, a social venture organization that has been internationally recognized for its waste reduction efforts in developing countries in Africa to expand its message of F.U.N to the world. Part of ticket proceeds will go towards benefiting their global initiatives. Further, to add to the Bohemian Rhapsody theme, FE 2014 guests will receive a henna hand tattoo provided by Akiyo Henna INC. To purchase an early bird ticket, visit their eventbrite page.
